  3. READ THIS FIRST!!!

  5. THE DEFAULT PASSWORD FOR KEEPOUT AND KSETUP IS INTRUDER. IF YOU
  6. HAVE PREVIOUSLY SET A PASSWORD WITH KEEPOUT 2.5, YOUR OLD PASSWORD
  7. WILL STILL BE IN EFFECT WHEN YOU INSTALL KEEPOUT 3.0.
  8.  
  9. RUN KSETUP TO CONFIGURE KEEPOUT TO YOUR LIKING TO SET YOU NEW PASSWORD.
  10.  
  11. SEE REG.TXT FOR YOUR REGISTRATION CODES.

  13. SEE THE ANTI-BURN-IN SCREEN SAVER SECTION IN THE HELP FILE.

  17. To install: Using the File/Run menu in Progrman Manager, Select
  18. Install.exe from your diskette.  Then run KSetup and click the '?'
  19. for help. Read Read1st.txt andKeepout.wri.

  22. To manually install Keepout: Delete any previous versions of Keepout. 
  23. Then from the archive or disk do the following:
  24. 1. Create a directory to locate the following files: KEEPOUT.EXE, 
  25.    KEEPOUT.TXT, KEEPOUT.WRI, KPATCH.EXE, PATCHINF.TXT, KSETUP.EXE 
  26.    and KEEPOUT.HLP.  
  27. 2. GONG.WAV AND SORRY.WAV can be placed in the Keepout directory or 
  28.    the \windows directory to use the configured sounds.
  29. 3. Copy CTL3D.DLL and VRBTD.386 are in the windows\system directory.
  30. 4. Make  a backup copy of system.ini. Then add the line: 
  31.    'device=path\vrbtd.386' to the [386Enh] section of your original 
  32.    system.ini. 
  33. 5. Then from File Manager drag the Keepout icon to your Program Manager's
  34.    startup group OR add keepout.exe to the RUN=  line in win.ini. For example, 
  35.    RUN=C:\DIR\KEEPOUT.EXE, where DIR is the specific location of Keepout.

  38. REGISTER KEEPOUT ON COMPUSERVE VIA GO SWREG ID# 4266 for disk or 
  39. ID# 4386 for registration codes.
